Left me surviving. Right me living. This is what two years of small messy steps looks like. I’ll show you how

Hi, I’m Kel. A ordinary woman from the West Midlands who spent years feeling like I was quietly falling apart, i was carrying old pain, lying awake replaying the past, and wondering why I could never quite feel like enough. My life was running on autopilot and old beliefs that i didnt even create myself.

I’ve been through things as we all have . A violent relationship. Betrayal. Years of feeling unsafe in my own life and my own skin. And for a long time I just got on with it, the way women do, pushing it down and hoping it would eventually stop hurting.

It didn’t. Until I decided to do something about it.

It started small embarrassingly small. A change in my diet. Ten minutes of yoga. A walk around the block at lunch. Nothing dramatic. But those small messy steps led me somewhere I never expected. I lost 4.5 stone. I found ancient philosophy that completely changed how I think. I stopped living in the past and started actually being present in my own life.

I’m not a therapist. I don’t have a wall full of certificates. What I have is a life that looked completely different two years ago, a genuine understanding of what it takes to rebuild yourself from the inside out, and an absolute refusal to believe that it’s ever too late to change.

If you’re a woman over 40 who is exhausted from just surviving I get it. I really do. And I’m here to show you there’s another way.

What I Write About

Everyday Mastery is where I share everything that’s helped me, honestly and without the fluff. No perfect morning routines. No “ten steps to your best life.” Just real, practical ideas you can actually use.

You’ll find posts on building habits that stick, moving your body in ways that feel good rather than punishing, quieting that voice in your head that replays everything, and using timeless philosophy as a practical everyday tool not as something you need a degree to understand.

If something helped me I’ll share it. If something didn’t work I’ll tell you that too but remember the key to your journey is learning what works for you. Try things , learn and tweak them to suit.

Why I Built Everyday Mastery

Because I couldn’t find what I needed when I was searching for a way through. Everything felt either too clinical, too polished, or written by someone who’d never actually been in the dark. I built the site I wish had existed when I needed it most.

If even one woman reads something here and thinks “that’s exactly what I needed today” that’s everything.
